Detailed Product Description
1.The DTC550 is one of the most versatile ID card printer/encoders available;
2. It's equally in a stand-alone application.
The DTC550 is one of the most versatile ID card printer/encoders available. It's equally at home in a stand-alone application, or as part of a distributed or high-volume card issuance system. The DTC550 can meet your specific requirements with connectivity, lamination and smart card encoding options.
- A The lamination option adds on an extra layer of security and durability to extend card life.
- B Maintain quality by automatically routing defective cards to the Reject Card Hopper (available only with the lamination module).
- C Avoid production errors and delays by reading printer and material status, and operator prompts on the user-friendly display.
- D Dual card hopping allows printing on two different card stocks, or longer production runs on one stock. Optional lock helps prevents theft of blank cards.
- E Encoding options handle contact and contactless smart cards, proximity cards and magnetic stripe.
- F Ethernet port and internal print server enable secure network printing.
Optional Ethernet connectivity
The optional Ethernet port and internal print server give you the flexibility to network multiple printer/encoders in a distributed corporate or service bureau environment. Bi-directional status lets you monitor and manage your Fargo printer/encoders just like other networked printers.
Optional lamination module
Photo ID cards are often subject to extra wear and tear; especially when they're used for access control or employee services. The optional lamination module not only makes your cards more durable, it can add a critical layer of security that's extremely difficult to forge.
Optional dual-sided printing
Dual-sided printing doubles the printable area of your ID cards. That means you can put larger photos on the front, and additional information, bar codes and digitized signatures on the back. Dual-sided printing can also make cards harder to counterfeit.
